The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to read more reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The services issue created for intervention encounters a superior influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources sassa status to permit the servicing of all prospects and improve entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
